DSLR Camera

  • Position the camera in a secure way on the tripod:

    • The camera should be positioned to point downwards for capturing top view images of the LEGO builds

  • Connect it to the laptop using a tethering cable (USB cable):

    • HDMI will not suffice!

  • Plug it into the power outlet using the Canon ACK-E6 power adapter

  • Attach the lens and adjust the zoom level as necessary:

    • Ensure it's wide enough to scan larger builds

Color profile


If the images on the screen seem dull, adjust the color profile settings on your DSLR camera. Refer to the .

The default setting is "Standard or Neutral". However, if you switch to "Portrait", the colors will become more vibrant. This change improves image blending on larger screens, which often display more vivid colors.

The settings largely depend on the specific model and lens combination, so experiment with a few settings to determine which produce the best results.
